Frequently asked Q's

What does Atlas Orange do?

We’re a North Carolina law firm specializing in real estate closings including title work and obtaining title insurance. But that’s not all we do! Our team also helps with drafting deeds and property transfers, outside seller documents, contracts and agreements, business formation services, and other real estate-related legal needs.

Why do I need a closing attorney in North Carolina?

North Carolina does things a little differently. Unlike many states where a title company may handle most of the closing process, North Carolina requires a licensed attorney to oversee the legal side of a residential real estate closing. That includes examining title, providing an opinion on title, addressing title issues, overseeing legal documents, and helping obtain title insurance.

Can you prepare seller documents if another law firm is handling the closing?

Yes. Atlas Orange offers seller document preparation even when another attorney or law firm is handling the closing itself.

Does Atlas Orange draft or review real estate contracts?

Yes. Our attorneys can assist with certain real estate contract drafting and review needs. Whether you need an agreement prepared, want an existing contract reviewed, or aren’t sure what type of document your situation calls for, tell us what you’re working on and we’ll help determine the next step.

Can Atlas Orange help me start an LLC or corporation in North Carolina?

Yes. We offer business formation services for North Carolina LLCs and corporations, along with small business legal support. View our business services for more information.

Can Atlas Orange prepare a deed for me?

Yes. Our attorneys can help with certain property transfer documents, including quitclaim deeds and other deed-related needs. The right document depends on what you’re trying to accomplish, so we’ll help determine what makes sense. View our drafting services for more information.

Does Atlas Orange offer bilingual support?

¡Sí! Hablamos español. We have bilingual team members on staff who can assist Spanish-speaking clients and help make communication with our team easier and more accessible. If you or your client need bilingual support, please let your assigned specialist know.

How will I receive and send documents securely?

We use Qualia, a secure online portal, to keep important documents, messages, and closing information together in one place. It’s an easy way to stay connected with our team without sending sensitive information back and forth through regular email.

If you prefer paperwork the old-fashioned way, that’s okay, too! Let our team know, and we’ll help you with the best way to securely provide the information and documents we need.

Where is Atlas Orange located?

Our home base is in Kernersville, North Carolina, but our reach goes way beyond our office walls. We work with clients, agents, and partners across North Carolina and we’ve built our team and technology to make working with us easy, wherever you happen to be.

Our physical address is: 109 E. Mountain Street, Suite D, Kernersville, NC 27284
